How to disable Microix encryption process when saving to a UNC path
NOTE: It is recommended that customers are not using the attachments feature during this process
- Apply version 2019.001.3 or higher (window client)
- Upgrade Web Companion application
- Without Web Config File ftp://www.microix.com/workflowmodules_10/WebCompanionApp/Patch/wfmcloudpatch.exe
- With Web Config File ftp://www.microix.com/workflowmodules_10/WebCompanionApp/Patch/wfmcloudpatch_IWCF.exe
(IMPORTANT: MAKE A COPY OF THE ENCRYPTED FILES BEFORE STARTING THE DECRYPTION PROCESS)
- Use the Attachment Utility (ftp://www.microix.com/workflowmodules_10/AttachmentExportUtility/RCv1.zip) to Decrypt files that are located in your attachment folder (May need to make an exception in Sophos to allow the decryption process). After files are decrypted, verify you are able to open and view the files manually.
- After applying the upgrade, open workflow module client application, turn off encryption via Maintenance>Global Options>Global Setting. Next, verify you are able to open and view a few random attachments within the windows and cloud companion application. Save a new attachment from both windows and web and verify it can be viewed.
