The Microix vendor punchout feature utilizes the cXML integration standard, and the process is streamlined. Here's a simplified breakdown:

1. Initiation: The end user from the buying organization starts a punch-out request from the Microix requisition application and accesses the supplier's web-based catalog.
2. Catalog Browsing: The end user browses the catalog, adds items to the shopping cart, and makes selections while both applications stay connected.
3. Return to Microix: When ready to check out, the shopping cart with selected items is sent back to the Microix requisition application.
4. Requisition Generation: Upon receiving the shopping cart, a requisition is automatically created in Microix, which then goes through the organization for financial approval.
5. Purchase Order Creation: Once approved, Microix generates a purchase order and sends it to the supplier to fulfill the order.

This process skips the typical B2C checkout and ensures a smooth flow from catalog browsing to order fulfillment within the organization's procurement system.

· Do we need to purchase Vendor Punchout again if we have over 5 databases?

Yes.
(Example: If a customer has 20 databases, they are required to purchase the Vendor Punchout feature 4 times to cover all databases purchased.)

· Will you be sending electronic PO’s in cXML or EDI to punch-out vendors?
Microix is capable of sending cXML for PO’s only; EDI is Not supported.

Microix Punchout Catalog works specifically with cXML Punchout capability. If your vendor is not listed on our website or the list at the bottom of this article, customer must reach out to their vendor to confirm cXML Punchout capability prior to purchasing.  cXML punchout vendor will provide Microix client with the following values related to their punchout account.  This is part of the setup process. 

• From Identity/Sender Identity (normally are the same values for both the From and Sender identity)
• To Identity
• Shared Secret
• PunchoutURL (both if test and projection are different)
• SubmitOrderURL (both if test and projection are different)
