Please Note: MCS Inventory Barcode Web Application will not work on the older model barcode scanner.

What information should I provide prior to a barcode scanner demo?
If using for Inventory:
· Are all items in inventory labeled with barcodes?
· Is inventory tracked with Lot/Serial/Expiration date?
· Single or Multi Location?

If using for Asset – provide details related to tracking your fixed assets.

· How will the scanner be used?

Is the S92 barcode scanner (or other older models) compatible with the MCS Inventory Barcode Web Application?
No. 

What is the difference between the DT50Q scanner and the DT50X scanner?
-There is no price difference between the two models and has the same functionality.

Dimension and Weight Information? 
· 1 DT50X Barcode Scanner with Cradle
· Dimension for the box we use to ship is 10x10x10. 
· Weight is 3lb.  

We need to add a new barcode scanner however we currently use the S92 Inventory Scanner(s) that currently runs on the Windows CE barcode application.
What are our options?
Option 1- Have a mix of the old and new barcode scanners however:
· Those using the S92 will have to use the old software (runs on the windows CE).
· Those using the DT50Q/DT50X will use the new software.
Option 2- If you would like to have everyone on the same scanners (DT50Q or DT50X) and discontinue the use of the S92, please request a quote.

What is the estimated time for Implementation and Training for adding barcode scanner(s) bought directly from Microix?

Scanners for Inventory of Consumables only:  
· Setup users and configure barcode settings in Workflow Modules
· Print labels if applicable 
· Associate Microix item number with vendor’s UPC barcode label 
· Print labels if applicable 
· Associate Microix item number with vendor’s UPC barcode label 
· Train users on Receiving, Picking and physical counts 
Total 4 hours minimum, (NOTE: fees do not include Inventory implementation which is required prior to training and using the scanner)

Scanners for Asset Tracking only: 
· Print labels if applicable
· Train users on the following tasks:
· Verify Asset
· Transfer Asset
· Add/Edit Asset
Total 3-4 hours minimum (NOTE: fees do not include setup of Asset tracking in Workflow Modules which is required prior to training and using the scanner)  

Is the 25% Maintenance and Support fee per unit? 

No, the max M&S is on one unit.

What does the 25% Maintenance and Support fee cover? 
Configuration of the barcode scanners (for option 1 ONLY) ; Software updates & troubleshooting.

What does the annual fee NOT cover?   

Setup and Training. This is part of the implementation process and is not covered under the support plan. Please contact your Microix consultant for a quote.

Warranty Information for barcode scanners purchased direct from Microix:
·  1 year Manufacturer's Warranty
Please Note:  The manufacturer warranty starts the day it is shipped to the client.

Are the S92 and older models of barcode scanners compatible in the MIP Cloud?
No. The S92 Inventory Scanner and any older models that run on the Windows CE barcode application is currently not available in MIP Cloud. 

Is the Microix (MCS) Inventory Barcode Web Application available in the MIP Cloud
Yes. The latest models, DT50Q/DT50X, of the Inventory barcode scanner includes the MCS Inventory Barcode Web Application and is available in MIP Cloud. 

Can we print barcode labels from your software, and do we need a special printer? 
Our system utilizes a regular laser printer to print labels on an Avery 5160 8x11. 
Printer Requirements:Any Windows 10 inkjet or laser printer with the correct Avery label is compatible with Workflow Modules label printing

Is a Micro SD card necessary and is it scanning to a SD card or using the wireless capabilities on this device? Is it scanning directly into Microix, which is accessed via RDP? What is the data flow?
The barcode device does not need an SD card and does not save any data to the device. It communicates over the WIFI connection to your Microix SQL Server and it reads and writes data directly. You will need a secure WIFI connection for the barcode app to be able to communicate with the SQL server.
