General Conversion Questions
When does conversion pricing take effect?
What costs are considered when determining my web license tier?
Only licensing costs are included:
Modules, services, and other products are not included.
How is my web license tier determined?
Your current annual licensing renewal (concurrent + existing web licenses) is compared to the available web tiers. You are placed into the tier that most closely matches that amount.
Will my licensing renewal increase after conversion?
Possibly. Your renewal may increase depending on the assigned tier, but it will never be lower than your current renewal.
Is the highest web tier a price cap?
No. The highest tier defines the structure, not the maximum price.
If your current renewal exceeds the highest tier, your renewal after conversion will remain at least equal to your current renewal.
License Structure & Flexibility
Is there a minimum number of web licenses?
Yes. The minimum tier is 25 web licenses. Some customers may be placed into higher tiers based on usage and renewal value.
Are concurrent licenses converted one‑to‑one?
No. Concurrent licenses are not converted individually. They are evaluated as part of your total licensing renewal to determine the correct tier.
What if I already have web licenses?
Existing web licenses are preserved. Concurrent licenses are evaluated alongside them to determine your new tier.
Can I purchase individual web licenses after conversion?
No. Web licenses are sold only in fixed tiers.
Can I reduce my web licenses after conversion?
No. Web licenses cannot be reduced for one year following conversion. After that, adjustments may be reviewed during renewal.
What if I need additional access after conversion?
You may move to the next available web license tier.
Pricing & Discounts
Do discounts carry forward after conversion?
No. All pricing after conversion reflects standard market rates.
What if my renewal exceeds the highest web tier?
Your renewal will remain at your current licensing amount (or increase if a higher tier is required).
The conversion will not reduce your licensing cost.

Modern Timesheet Licensing Policy
1. License Requirements for Clock‑In/Clock‑Out Employees
Any employee who will clock in or out using Microix Modern—whether through the web, mobile, or a timeclock integration—must have a Modern web license. This requirement applies even if the employee does not log in to review timesheets, pay stubs, or other information.
2. Difference Between Classic and Modern
Under Classic, some organizations were able to rely on timekeepers to print timesheets or pay stubs without assigning every employee a login. In Modern, this is no longer supported. Modern requires a license for each employee whose time data is imported from MIP Payroll or captured through any timeclock method.
3. Required License Count
Organizations must purchase enough Modern web licenses to cover all employees who will be clocking in/out. Example:
4. Available Alternatives
If an organization does not want employees logging into Modern, the following options are available:
