🛠️ Microix Modern – Technical Q&A
1. SSO and MFA Integration
Q: Does the new version support Single Sign-On (SSO) with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) to enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
A: Yes, but only if hosted with MIP. This is not available for on-premise deployments. On-premise users can use local Active Directory integration instead.
2. Secure HTML Email Approvals
Q: Will the new version enforce a login step when users click the approval link from an email?
A: Classic and Modern versions behave the same. A global setting must be enabled to require password authentication.
Note: In prior versions (2019+), this setting was available but not always enforced. We previously disabled this feature due to a security risk that allowed URL manipulation and impersonation. We’d like to confirm whether this vulnerability has been fully addressed in the latest release.
3. SMTP Configuration & Security Standards
Q: Could you provide documentation or details on the SMTP settings required for the new version?
A: Yes. Please refer to the knowledge base article:
4. Server Compatibility Requirements
Q: What are the minimum and recommended system requirements for the new version?
A: https://www.microixcloud.com/
5. Abila MIP Compatibility
Q: Is a specific version of Abila MIP required to run or integrate with the new version of Microix?
A: Yes. MIP version 2025.1 or higher is required.
6. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
Q: Will the new version include support for user groups
or role-based permission management?
A: Yes, can create additional roles other
than Requester/Approver however roles are just a template and permissions are
applied based on these templates.
Q: Are there any updates to API availability or integration support (e.g., for Power BI)?
A: Modern version includes a RESTAPI to allow documents (requisitions/invoices) to be imported via Json format
