Q: How does Microix populate budget worksheets based on the percentage of spending from the previous year's expenses? What calculation methods are available for pre-populating a budget worksheet?
A: Microix can build the budget worksheet using prior year expenses. Once the worksheets are created, a formula can be applied to set the new budget column based on the prior year’s values, with an increase of a specified percentage.
Q: Is it possible to copy last year’s percentages into the new budget worksheet? For example, if 10% was allocated in January, followed by zero for the next three months, and then 30% in the subsequent month, can we replicate the formulas used in last year’s worksheet for the new one?
A: If you have the monthly % spread for the annual budget from last year, you can create a custom spread (Monthly Distribution) in Microix (Special) and apply it to a specific budget line item (or the entire budget worksheet), as shown below.
