Microix Identity and Access Management (IAM) Authentication Support

Overview

This article describes the authentication and identity management options supported by Microix Workflow Modules, including the differences between the Classic and Modern versions.

It also addresses support for common identity and access management (IAM) standards such as SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SCIM.

Supported Authentication Methods

Microix Workflow Modules – Classic

The Classic version supports the following authentication methods:

  • Windows Active Directory
  • Local Microix username and password

Microix Workflow Modules – Modern

The Modern version supports:

  • Windows Active Directory
  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Local Microix username and password
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using:

    • Email
    • SMS/text message

SAML, OIDC, and SCIM Support

Microsoft Entra ID

Organizations using Microix Workflow Modules Modern can use Microsoft Entra ID as an authentication option.

This provides an alternative for organizations that use Microsoft Entra for identity management but does not mean that Microix provides general-purpose SAML 2.0, OIDC, or SCIM integration with third-party identity providers.
