Offset Entries for Non-Balancing Segments

After upgrading to Microix v2026.002.2 or later, offset entries are not being populated for non-balancing segments.

📘 Overview

Microix does not typically apply values to non-balancing segments when creating offset entries, as balancing accounts generally do not require them.

In versions prior to v2026, Microix relied on its own internal setup to determine which segments were required for offset entries.

Beginning with v2026.002.2, Microix now uses MIP’s Required Account Assignment rules to determine required segments for offset entries.

🔍 Cause

If required segment rules are not configured in MIP, offset entries created by Microix will not populate values for non-balancing segments.

🛠️ Resolution

To ensure offset entries populate correctly for non-balancing segments:

1. In MIP, configure the Required Account Assignment rules.

2. Apply these rules to all offset accounts that will be used by Microix.

3. Verify that the required segments include any non-balancing segments that must be populated.

Once these rules are properly configured in MIP, Microix will honor them when creating offset entries.
